Beltin' Bill Melton smacks his 33rd home run of the season to beat out Reggie Jackson and Norm Cash for the AL Home Run Crown, the first Sox player to win the title. A great moment in Sox history, witnessed by 2,000 fans. Not quite as compelling as Mickey and Roger's race to 61, I guess.
