Bottom 1 Ruth hits a line drive into right field. Jenkins picks it up and fumbles the ball. That's a base hit and an error on Jenkins. Ruth moves to second.

Bottom 1 Reese hits a ball on the ground towards the right side of the infield. Melillo scoops it up and throws to first for the out.

Bottom 1 Combs hits a fly ball into left field. Goslin settles under the ball and makes the catch for the out.

Top 1 Kress hits a line drive into left field for a base hit. There goes Jenkins trying to get to home. Chapman throws the ball in to Dickey who tags Jenkins, who's trying to score from second, for the out.

Top 1 Melillo hits a fly ball into center field. Combs settles under the ball and makes the catch for the out. Goslin scores. Jenkins moves to second. That run is unearned.
